Are you thinking about buying rough diamonds from Mopane Mining? Don’t do It!

I’ve been fooled by Mopane Mining, so you don’t have to be.

I came across John Abraham's profiles on various social platforms, advertising the sale of rough diamonds. He projected himself as a licensed dealer, and his strong online presence gave an illusion of credibility. We settled on a price, both for the raw diamond and its subsequent cutting, leading me to transfer $4200 via Western Union to an individual he identified as his "secretary", Rakkel Megameno Nanguti.

Expecting professionalism, I was shown a video of what appeared to be the cut diamond the very next day. However, when the time came for shipment, John became evasive, offering a string of excuses and ultimately admitting he couldn't deliver the diamond.

When I demanded a refund, he claimed it was impossible as the funds had been expended. However, he suggested a solution: meeting an associate of his in New York who'd provide me with a diamond. I met this person in NY, tested the diamond with a presidium tester — it seemed genuine. But, upon further examination at home, I discovered it was counterfeit.

Further investigation revealed that this associate is actually Lello Francisco, identified as an Angolan government official.

Sadly, I'm out $9000 due to this scam, and I've learned that both John Abraham and Lello Francisco are still perpetrating similar scams on others.

Be cautious and vigilant!
